Introduction to Snowshoeing Opportunities

Join park staff for a learn-to-snowshoe program! Learn the parts of a snowshoe, how they work, and go on a short snowshoe hike. Participants should dress in waterproof shoes, layers, and avoid cotton like blue jeans or sweatpants. If there is less than 6” of snow, there will be a short hike instead.

A trip north in search of eagles and other rare wintering birds.  Visit the Mongaup Reservoir, the Delaware River, & the Delaware Highlands Conservancy to look for winter residents and nesting pairs. KCEEC: Whose Track is That

Winter offers the perfect time to search for animal tracks and solve the mysteries they leave behind. Join Environmental Education Coordinator, Roger Spotts for this 90 minute outdoor program for people of all ages looking for and identifying the tracks that Kettle Creek’s Critters leave behind. Please dress to be outside and walk on snow covered trails. Cost: $6/non-member, $4/children under 12. EE Center members FREE.

Join Folk’s Farm at the museum in experiencing a live butterfly enclosure. Learn all about the life cycle of these winged beauties with hands-on activities and crafts. Free with Museum Admission.

Cross Country Skiing
