World Rivers Day is a celebration of the world’s waterways. It highlights the many values of rivers and strives to increase public awareness and encourages the improved stewardship of rivers around the world.  Rivers in virtually every country face an array of threats, and only through active involvement can we ensure their health in the years ahead.

Nor-Bath Bike Ride

An easy peddle along the Nor-Bath Trail. This pretty trail features views of fields and farmland, babbling brooks and abundant wildlife. Please remember that pets are not welcome on the trail. After the ride, each participant will enjoy a smoothie from OMG Smoothies!

Get Outdoors Poconos Hike

HIGHLIGHTS:  An easy, 1-mile round-trip walk at the preserve. No view of the falls, but you will see a large glacial split rock and enjoy a leisurely walk in the early fall woods.

WHERE: Meet at Paradise-Price Preserve, Henry’s Crossing Road. Take Route 191 in Paradise Valley to Cranberry Creek Road. From Cranberry Creek Road, take Henry’s Crossing Road. When you cross the railroad tracks, the trailhead is on your right. If you wish, bring a snack to enjoy.

Search for fungus and lichen as you learn about the amazing world of decomposition and nutrient cycling. No collecting will be done within the Park. $5.

Fall Harvest Weekend

Celebrate the Fall Harvest!

Choose from a selection of locally grown apples from Grassy Ridge and local pumpkins, too! Cut your own bouquet in the cut flower garden or create an arrangement in a carved pumpkin! Enjoy live music from 12-4. Local sweet treats will be available too! Fall scavenger hunt will be ready for the kiddos to enjoy, also.
