Explore the pools below the falls on the Lehigh River at Stoddartsville and learn about the history of this remarkable area! If you’ve always wanted to be a deep sea explorer, here’s your shot at experiencing the thrill of operating your own remote control underwater vehicle (ROV)! Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the river in a different way – snorkeling! Snorkelers may see schools of fish and many other critters from a different perspective. Then, take a guided tour of Historical Stoddartsville and the museum.
Location: Stoddartsville, PA. From Rt 115 North, 3 miles from Blakeslee Corners, turn left just past the Lehigh River bridge onto Buck Maple Lane. Use 1 Stoddartsville Road for GPS. Additional info available after registration.

Celebrate and send off the monarch butterflies on their great annual migration to Mexico!
Releases will be held both Saturday and Sunday at 11:00,1:00 and 3:00. There will be a small presentation about the status of the monarch population and the importance of building sustainable butterfly habitats before each release. Live eggs, caterpillars and chrysalis will be on display.

This event will include a live vulture program, educational crafts and activities for children, and information on the Sanctuary’s long-term research on the social scavenging raptor.
Visitors are encouraged to head to the trails in search of a vulture soaring low over the lookouts. Trail fee applies for non-members if hiking on the trails.
On the way, visitors can take the Silhouette Trail, which features a trail-side gallery of life-size, in-flight silhouettes of 7 of the world’s 22 species of vultures and condors, including four New World species (Turkey Vulture, Black Vulture, Andean Condor, and California Condor) and three Old World species (Hooded Vulture, Griffon Vulture, and Egyptian Vulture).
A brochure describing these will be available at the trail entrance.
Programs are free with trail fee, and live vulture program is free.
